Free consultations for Ukrainians living in Vilnius

The National Social Integration Institute is implementing the Project „Provision of psychosocial assistance to people who have fled the war in Ukraine and are living in Vilnius Municipality”, which is financed by EU funds. Within the framework of the project, we run various activities in the centre of Vilnius, in the „Social Hostel Chata”, Tilto str. 19-27, and invite Ukrainians living in Vilnius to attend the activities.
Topics of group and individual sessions:

  • Career counselling

– Individual counselling sessions assess a person’s skills, experience and desires in the field of work. Help with creating a CV and a cover letter, using job search websites, preparing for job interviews, accompanying in the process of getting a job and preparing documents.

  • Addiction risk management

– Motivational interviewing in group or individual sessions, creating a change plan, discussing options for harm reduction and recovery from psychoactive substances, information on long-term support options, accompaniment to rehabilitation treatment.

  • Coping with post-traumatic stress

– Group or individual sessions to provide knowledge about traumatic disorders and professional help options in Lithuania, explore traumatic experiences in the context of war with a specialist, learn how to create a safe environment for oneself and others, and build psychological resilience.

  • Art therapy sessions

– Group sessions using a variety of artistic mediums to uncover hidden emotions, seek calm and develop self-knowledge, build psychological resilience.
The sessions are ongoing, lasting 12 meetings once a week over a cup of tea, creating a safe environment within the cosy walls of the community centre. Families with children are also welcome.
